Head of Client Operations

Your Role

As the Head of Client Operations, you serve in a leadership capacity and lead the Client Operations team in all our client work — ensuring the successful delivery of our strategic narrative, research, and learning & development as we continue to grow.

You’re an experienced communications agency principal or director-level management consultant. You have a track record of success working with C-suite and senior executive clients on high-stake engagements. You’re fluent in crafting a business case and leading projects on strategic messaging, change management, and business transformation.

You’re confident in your abilities to deliver projects end to end and a master project manager and producer that can work strategically across accounts by developing and nurturing great relationships with our clients. You can manage the presentation of final project deliverables and advise persuasively, earning the position of a trusted advisor.

You will also be responsible for bringing in new business and growing our business through the development of new service offerings and sharing your expertise to the world. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader in the technology, communications or management consulting sectors. You’re passionate about technology disruption, innovation, and culture. You have excellent communication skills, including the ability to break down complex structures and ideas into consumable concepts for a diverse set of stakeholders, from entry to expert level. You also bring best practices for how to strengthen operational capabilities, expand our solutions and continue to unlock growth and value creation.

What You’ll Do Every Day:

  • Manage client team KPIs including client satisfaction, revenue, profitability, team utilization, and other key areas of visibility for company-wide decision-making
  • Develop drafts of executive presentations, proposals and other client deliverables, and ensure the quality of the team’s work products to exceed client expectations
  • You drive strategic projects within the client operations team from identifying opportunities, scoping, defining requirements, and developing proposals to win them
  • Contribute to end-to-end from business development to client delivery to evaluation to sustained account growth through close client partnership
  • You are a fantastic manager leading the client operations team and providing process, direction and guidance while also motivating to reach common goals
  • Strategize and implement best practices to scale our fast growing advisory business and create memorable and repeatable customer experiences

Requirements

Experience & Skills:

  • 8-12+ years in management consulting, public relations, or corporate comms
  • Past P&L responsibilities and demonstrated ability to grow top-line revenue
  • Fluency in the issues faced by Silicon Valley, Fortune 500, and high-growth ventures
  • Nimble ability to adjust priorities and expectations based on changing requirements
  • Structured thinker with the ability to communicate and persuade with integrity
  • Skilled at context-switching between big-picture strategic and daily execution
  • Talented consultant that can uncover client needs and right-size proposed solutions
  • Relationship-driven salesperson that focused on optimizing for value creation
  • Proven record of success in delivering against high-stakes executive engagements
  • Rational optimist with a proactive resilient attitude in how you navigate ambiguity
  • Innate problem-solver who want to grow in a flexible, collaborative culture
  • Motivate others to stretch professionally and deliver high-quality results

  • Prefer candidates based in Los Angeles Area, or at minimum on the west coast
