Guest Services Associate, GRAMMY Museum (Full-Time)

*This is a temporary to hire position with the potential for becoming regular, full-time after successfully completing a 90-day assessment period.*

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR: *
Someone who is responsible for providing information about the GRAMMY Museum and LA Live to guests and visitors, as well as assist management in all matters related to ticketing and retail store operations.

*
WHAT YOU’LL DO: *
Assist customers with ticket purchases by using Tessitura/Eventbrite and cash handling.
Keep track of timed ticket allotments in order to monitor the GRAMMY Museum’s capacity limits.
Oversee ticket operations in manager’s absence, and follow procedures for opening/closing ticket booths.
Accurately reconcile all ticket sales at the end of each business day.
Work closely with our operations staff to monitor crowd flow and capacity limits.
Maintain cleanliness of work station and retail store at all times.
Be the point of contact for any questions the operations team may have.
Ensure proper signage is out before Museum opens.
Early closures, discounted tickets, theater closed, etc.
Ensure team arrives on time for shifts
Responsible for filling in or looking for coverage if someone calls off.

Fill in for breaks if not enough coverage.
Make change for the team throughout the day.
Walk the floors every hour, if possible to make sure exhibits/interactives are up and running.
Guest Services
Provide information to guests and visitors about the GRAMMY Museum and L.A.

Live.
Handle issues/complaints from guests.

Education, Public Programs and Private Event Assistance
Check calendar to be prepared when groups arrive and help with check-in and greeting, if needed.
Make sure program links are working properly and allotments are in order.
Assist education team with organization of virtual programs.
Assist management with special projects and private events as needed.

Retail
Assist team with daily responsibilities, select, and help locate merchandise.
Assist store manager with all store duties, including opening/closing retail store and ensure store is maintained and stocked.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: *
A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency.
2 years related work experience.
Must possess a dynamic and positive personality and demonstrate professionalism and respect when dealing with clients, customers, and team members.
Exceptional customer service skills, and able to lead by example.
Ability to report to work and return from breaks on time.
Strong oral and written communication and leadership skills.
Possess strong cash handling experience.
Experience operating a POS/register system.
Experience with retail store merchandise displays and promotion.
Bilingual language skills are a plus.
