Now is your chance to join our talented Employee Relations function, which advances a consistent, fair and inclusive employee experience by engaging with employees and leaders at critical moments in the lifecycle of the employment relationship.The Disney General Entertainment Employee Relations team is seeking an experienced Employee Relations or HR professional to support the COVID-19 vaccine related requests for accommodations under the ADA.

This role will be responsible for managing the interactive process for the DGE segment in partnership with HR, Legal, and business leaders.

This role will report to the Director of Employee Relations and will interface directly with ER, HR and Legal leadership across the company to ensure compliance with Company policy and federal and state laws.

In addition to facilitating the interactive process, this role is also responsible for integrating with key stakeholders to ensure employees and businesses receive the help and support they need.Responsibilities:Facilitate and administratively document the interactive process with employees seeking a reasonable accommodation in partnership with leadership and other key resources to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws.Ability to identify accommodation needs and propose reasonable accommodations balancing the needs of the individual, the business requirements and compliance related requirementsPromote knowledge and understanding for leaders and employees in regard to the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act, Family and Medical Leave Act and other compliance issues; as they relate to the medical accommodation process.Cultivate a strong client-oriented service rapport with HRBP teams, and other internal partners, that is based on a high level of collaboration and inclusion.Handle project work as needed, including training and research.Basic Qualifications:3 5 Years experience in Employee Relations, Human Resources or related fieldMastery of leave of absence and ADA accommodation lawsStrong analytical skills, ability to issue spot and analyze employment-related issuesStrong consultative skills (client service orientation, conflict resolution, analysis/synthesis of information, negotiation, etc.) with proven track record of integrating partners to accomplish objectives.Highly collaborative, confident, and comfortable working with all levels of the organization.Operates with a high level of empathy and patience, and has the ability to appropriately navigate emotionally charged situations.Ability to make judgment calls and sound, ethical decisions displaying a heightened level of responsibility, confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.Facilitate the interactive process pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADAAA) and other relevant local lawsPartner with managers, employees and HR business partners to determine and implement reasonable accommodations where appropriate.Cultivate a strong client-oriented service rapport with HRBP teams, and other internal partners, based on a high level of collaboration and inclusion.Strong persuasion and conflict resolution skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.Experience in facilitating & delivering leadership training.Skilled with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word etc.); knowledge of SharePointis a plusPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience handling employee relations issues or accommodations, in an HR roleRequired EducationBachelors degreePreferred EducationMasters Level Degree
