The Development Lead role is responsible for leading the early-stage development and team building for all of the education-specific products within the digital marketplace team.
Requirements:
BA/BS in computer science or a similar field You have 8+ years of experience in full-stack development of growing consumer products You have experience leading a high performing engineering team in a fast-paced environment You have experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.JS, React.JS, etc) Highly organized, strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with cloud-based computing/infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.) Experience with agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban) and project management tools (JIRA, Asana, etc).
Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end development of early-stage products in the digital education space Work closely with product managers, content developers, and designers to bring amazing consumer products to life Build from scratch and integrate off-the-shelf products based on specific user needs Advise on the overall business strategy from an engineering lens Hire and grow the first engineering team for our education-focused products Evolve software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all team deliverables Maintain high standards of software quality and know-how to establish them within your team by establishing good practices and habits.
