Ajilon is looking for an FTL Dispatcher within the city of Los Angeles, CA.
Responsibilities
- Working with about 8-10 drivers
- Maximizing each vehicle
- Answer about 50-100 calls per day
- Respond to about 40-50 emails per day
- Ensuring each driver has taken their lunch break
- Having knowledge of where each driver is at all times
Skills:
- 2 years of FTL dispatching experience
- Self-starter with strong drive and initiative
- Attention to detail / excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication both written and verbal
Pay Rate: $23.00-$26.00 / hr.
Schedule: Mon-Fri 7AM – 4PM

- Prepare daily dispatch schedule for drivers
- Disseminate information and dispatch drivers to specified location
- Set daily schedules for drivers
- Provide excellent customer service to drivers
- Perform dispatcher duties when workload
- Discuss dispatch issues with drivers, customers and managers
- Resolve delivery problems with customers or drivers
- Use the dispatch system to assign drivers to loads
- Troubleshoot delivery issues with drivers and customers
- Conduct quarterly safety meetings with drivers
- Assist drivers and customer to problem
- Direct daily activities of regional drivers
- Dispatching drivers for airport pickups
- Organize necessary paperwork for drivers
- Inform drivers of operational issues
- Followed as if were the dispatcher
- Communicate load information to truck drivers
- Inspect drivers’ appearance and physical condition prior to dispatch
- Ensure all drivers within the fleet
- Ensure all drivers show up for shift
