At Eataly, we refer to this position as Fresh Market Manager. The Fresh Market Manager oversees the fresh departments: Cheese & Salumi, Fish & Meat, Bakery and Fresh Pasta. Reports directly to the Retail General Manager and reports functionally to the Director of Fresh Products. Oversees the fresh counter managers, leads and staff. Organizes and directs the store’s fresh departments to maximize profitability while upholding the company’s mission, values, quality and guest experience standards and policiesManages the fresh counter leaders: hires, schedules, trains, motivates, submits payroll, evaluates, terminatesEnsures counters and displays are visually appealing and merchandized effectively Analyzes financial data and develops strategies to drive sales and increase profitability and efficienciesWorks closely with the culinary and kitchen team to ensure that production consistently meets the store’s needs for retail, quick service and restaurantsRequisitions and purchases food, beverage, supplies and equipment to maximize profit and reduce wasteSupervises cleaning and maintenance of equipment and counters according to Department of Health standards, and arranges repairs, contracts and other services when neededDocuments, investigates, escalates and resolves employee and guest incidentsPerforms other duties as required or assignedQualificationsBachelor’s Degree4+ years of retail management experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communications skillsBusiness management and financial analysis skillsExperience purchasing and managing inventoryAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of Italian fresh productsJob RequirementsAvailability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings and weekendsAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squattingAbility to operate equipment such as a slicer, pasta machine or cash register as neededAdditional InformationBenefits and PerksMedical, Dental, Vision InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Parental Leave401K with match or RRSPBonus programFree family meal dailyDiscounts at EatalyClasses on products and Italian cuisineReferral bonus programand more!Eataly is an equal employment opportunity employer.
