Job Purpose The Assistant Buyer will support the Buyer, Sr.

Buyer or Merchandising Manager to ensure that inventory receipt goals are met.

The Assistant Buyer will maintain the flow of production by coordinating constantly with external vendors and cross functional departments, making sure that production deadlines are met, and samples are up to standard.

Deliverables: Maintain and update Open-to-buy/recap sheets daily, weekly and monthly Analyze key business data weekly and make recommendations for merchandise re-orders or changes Ensure all steps of data entry and POs are accurately entered in the system Organization and manage sample in support of milestone meetings and product assorting Attend vendor appointments when necessary Support Buyer in preparation of key business meetings (i.E.

vendor appointments, style-outs, assortment planning) Assists with the preparation process for the negotiation of product pricing with vendors and management Communicate any changes to existing orders to the Purchase Order and Production department BFA or BA preferred Must have at least 1 year of exposure in a specialty retail environment; 1 year of buying experience preferred Must possess basic knowledge of production, product development, specifically in the fashion retail industry Knowledge of Web PDM preferred Must have exceptional organizational skills Must be proactive, detail oriented, and possess the ability to meet tight deadlines Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Must possess extensive Microsoft Word and Excel skills What we Expect Customer Obsession; you know who your customer is and working in service to them is working in service to our end consumer.
