Kikka Sushi, founded in 1986, has grown rapidly throughout the nation to include locations in 30 states and Canada, with locations in major areas like supermarkets, businesses, restaurants and universities! We’re looking for a dependable Food Prep / Cook who will provide great customer service in the Whole Foods Market located at 770 S. Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90017
We have a full time with benefits position for the closing / night shift: 12pm – 9pm. The Food Prep / Cook will make sushi in advance and per customer’s request. No experience making sushi? No problem, we will teach you! The team member will also do prep work, cook and prepare other Asian foods and maintain a clean and neat environment all while providing great customer service in a fun, fast paced, exciting environment.
During Covid: We are requiring face masks, social distancing as much as possible, additional scheduled cleanings and sampling is currently not allowed to ensure a safe work environment.
Pay is $15.00
Qualifications:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Be familiar with sushi. (No experience with making it is required)
- Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Be able and willing to work any weekends and holidays.
- Have flexible morning and evening availability
- Be eligible to work in the U.S.
Top applicants will have strengths in:
- Working in quick service restaurants, supermarkets or fast paced environments
- Food handling experience with food handler certifications
- Comfort working in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.
- Good knife and customer services skills.
