Job Description: Responsible for the management of fleet assets/ resources at the garage facility level.

Supervise garage operations to meet customer expectations.

Develop, communicate and implement action plans and recommend changes to action plans as required.

Facilitate the development of safe work practices into the fleet workplace and monitor safety behavior and performance in assigned garage facilities.

Manage vehicle down time and ensure the mechanical integrity of the fleet.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the Fleet organization and with external departments/contractors.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS are listed below: 1.

Develop a work team focused on building a safety climate conducive to adopting and maintaining safe work habits and safe attitudes.

2.

Interface with internal customers to ensure that Service Level Agreements are being satisfied and that customized services or equipment options that are being provided are appropriate and acceptable to both customers and Business Unit management.

3.

Prepare and oversee the garage budgets and effectively use all available resources, i.e., employees, dollars, contractors, assets, information, technology etc., to become a competitive, value added service provider.

4.

Schedule preventative maintenance and repairs to provide maximum utilization of fleet assets.

5.

Utilize the Fleet Information Management System (FIMS) and ensure the integrity of the system data.

6.

Monitor, document and meet environmental compliance standards and practices in assigned garages.

7.

Promote and foster an entrepreneurial business atmosphere for the assigned garage operations.

8.

Identify and resolve garage operational issues, including conducting periodic vehicle/equipment inspections and monitoring/developing Fleet Technicians’ skill sets and performance.

Requirements BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate’s degree in business or logistics related field and 2 years of relevant work experience; or HS Diploma/GED and 4 years of relevant work experience.

Experience: In addition to any experience listed above, minimum of two (2) years’ experience with Fleet Operations and/or general operations/business experience with a focus on budget, finance and/or analysis.

Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work with internal and external customers to meet the requirements of this job.

Good interpersonal communication skills will be essential.
