Fashion Trend Specialist

Job Description

We are an international ultra-fast fashion apparel brand for Gen-Z, focused on trendy and streetwear clothing. Our brand has been identified by google as the fastest growing Gen-Z apparel brand for 2021.

We are seeking to recruit a Fashion Trend Specialist to join their Design Team in LA.

Individuals will be required to work in an ultra-fast environment pushing the team to achieve deadlines and goals while doing this in a productive team environment.

The Trend Specialist will report to the Director of Merchandising and is responsible for forecasting the latest and upcoming Fashion trends in the Womenswear business.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Research Gen-Z trends including color, fabric, print and pattern, silhouette, and key looks.
  • Lead trend direction to ensure continuity of unique brand distinction and identity and to guarantee the brand’s lead in current and future trends.
  • Prepare and present trend reports on a weekly basis for new monthly collections to the team.
  • Be current on fashion trends through competitive shopping, fashion services, industry contacts, blogs, street style, etc. Commercially interpret trends for the fast fashion customer.
  • Partner with Design and production team in product development.
  • Work closely with the Director of Merchandising and Design team- regularly do ongoing/ previous collection analysis of trends, relevant markets, target audience, social media channels, and fashion influencers, for keeping the brand always trendy and up to date.
  • Work with Stylist on photoshoot production.

Requirements:

  • Extremely well versed in all social media outlets. Have your finger on the pulse of consumerism and fashion industry changes, while independently keeping up with current lifestyle and apparel trends
  • Degree in fashion/design/marketing is preferred.
  • 2-4 years industry experience (trend analysis, fashion marketing, or social media)
  • Ability to multi-task with effective time-management skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with little supervision
  • Collaborative nature with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Extremely well versed in all social media outlets. Have your finger on the pulse of consumerism and fashion industry changes, while independently keeping up with current lifestyle and apparel trends
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Keynote, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
