In this role, you will plan and organize tosupport and ensure the health and safety of Early Head Start facilities. You will be the first point ofcontact for internal and external contractors engaged in the repair and generalupkeep of the EHS facilities. You will also ensure that all Children First Early Head Startfacilities will meet the Head Start Performance Standards related to education,health, safety and supervision and remain in good standing through theevaluations conducted by Community Care licensing and/or federal and statemonitoring.
As our Facilities Coordinator, you will supervise, coordinate and perform Head Start facilities support work, including coordination of contractor and vendor services, facilities planning, construction procurement, facility repair, supply ordering and delivering, document retention and special facilities requests.
- Prior Head Start experience and knowledge of its performance standards
- 3+ years in facilities management
- Working knowledge of Information Technology services
- Project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated strong leadership, team building and problem solving abilities
- Strong commitment to the field of child and family development services
- Federal, state and local regulations, (e.g. Title 5 and Title 22) related to facilities maintenance and repair or have the ability to gain the knowledge
- Interpret and apply rules, policies and regulations with the good judgement in a variety of situations
- Compile information and prepare accurate reports
- Bilingual (Spanish-English) language skills desirable
