A little about this position:

  • Fabricates, repairs, and maintains resort equipment and facilities.

  • Instructs less qualified machinists and fabricators and acts as a project leader on complex projects.

  • Reports to and assists the Supervisor in prioritizing work, project design, planning, record keeping, and ordering parts and materials.

Requirements
  • Must demonstrate excellent people and communication skills including the ability to read and interpret documents such as operating, maintenance and repair manuals.
  • Must be a problem solver and have the proven ability to work under pressure to meet critical timelines and objectives.
  • The ability to operate shop equipment including mills, lathes, programmable cutter, brake, shear, and other common types of shop equipment.
  • Experience with commonly used welding processes including SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and plasma and oxyfuel cutting.
  • Welding certifications required for SMAW and FCAW welding processes.
  • Must be able to communicate concepts and designs via shop drawings and detailed plans.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as, operating, maintenance, and repair manuals.
  • The ability to operate Windows based software applications.
  • Possess a valid Class C Driver’s License with 3 points or less.
  • Must have completed or be willing to complete the 10-hour OSHA General Industry training course.
