________ Executive Vice President, Education We’re seeking an Executive Vice President, Education to be based at our Los Angeles headquarters, reporting to the Co-owner and Vice-Chair of The Wonderful Company.

This Education Leader must embrace the opportunities and demands of this important role focused on achieving unprecedented educational and philanthropic outcomes.

This is a unique role that leverages the resources of a for-profit company driven to make the world a better place for future generations through the power of evidence-based education, health, and workforce programs.

We’re looking for someone with a track record of break-through results, innovation, and leadership on issues that matter to the future of our kids, nation and society.

Job Description Work with an empowered team of educators, philanthropists, and health care professionals to design, implement, improve, and augment our mission to disrupt the cycle of poverty in the Central Valley Lead and enhance established and successful educational programs, taking them to the next level of excellence; oversee a team of senior leaders supporting our cradle to career programming Provide students with unparalleled educational opportunities and college access, ensuring that they are prepared to thrive in and graduate from college and go on to promising careers Use performance data to drive development and growth decisions across Wonderful Education programs Articulate a clear and compelling vision and motivate and lead others with superior communication skills Follow and implement federal, state, and local education and non-profit law and policy Provide strategic support and consulting to WCPA, informed by experience with public charter school oversight, governance, and leadership Work collaboratively with school, district, county, and state educational leadership teams and institutions of higher education to deliver excellent results Partner closely with The Wonderful Company’s best-in-class shared resource groups including Research and Insights, Strategy, the Ad Agency and more Qualifications 15+ years of experience demonstrating ownership and/or leadership in school administration or executive leadership in education or philanthropy organizations Superior cross-functional collaboration with exceptional management skills and the ability to build relationships within, and outside, an organization Strong analytical and quantitative skills with unparalleled attention to detail Mission-driven strategic thinker with strong personal, written, presentation, and negotiating skills that quickly establish rapport and credibility at all levels within, and outside, an organization Excellent communicator, with analytic and problem-solving skills, sound business acumen, and executive presence Demonstrated history of engaging communities and stakeholders to achieve long-term and sustainable initiatives Experience working with or in support of diverse communities Bachelor’s degree required; a related graduate degree (JD, MBA, Education) preferred COVID Vaccination is required for all staff except those with a legally valid exemption Additional Information Wonderful Education Programs and Partnerships Pre-Schools Our nationally accredited, year-round preschools in Delano and Lost Hills are open 12 hours a day and offer peace of mind to our employees and other parents in the Central Valley.

Wonderful College Prep Academies (WCPA) Our independent, non-profit K-12 charter school campuses in Delano and Lost Hills serve 2,500 students and are the educational models and inspiration for the Wonderful Education portfolio of programs.

Career Pathways More than 1,500 Central Valley students are currently enrolled in this groundbreaking program that prepares students using a career-focused early college model.

Across eight high schools in the Central Valley, students take early college courses leading to an AS-T degree or certificate in Agriculture, Public Health, Education, or Logistics.

In the fall of 2022, we will launch an additional certificate for the CSU breadth courses.

Students who complete their AS-T degree are eligible to receive a three-year Wonderful College Scholarship or enter the workforce with a one-year Wonderful Work Fellowship.

High School and College Success Through this one-of-a-kind program, all children of our Central Valley employees receive specialized college prep and career counseling while in high school.

We currently support students across 70 Central Valley public high schools, preparing them for college.

As part of our model, students in all three high school programs listed above (WCPA, Career Pathways and High School and College Success) also receive coaching, tutoring, test prep, college visits, and camp experiences while in high school.

Students who choose to attend a four-year university also receive up to a $30,000 college scholarship, in addition to ongoing coaching, tutoring and support to help guide them throughout college and successfully transition into a career.

To date, we’ve awarded almost 3,000 college scholarships to students from the Central Valley, with an average of 300 high school seniors receiving scholarships annually.

Wonderful Career Center Our job is not finished after students graduate.

We offer high school and college graduates from Wonderful programs career counseling services through our newly established Career Center.

From providing internships while in college to ongoing resume review and interview coaching, we ensure students are prepared to earn a job in any field they choose.

To date, The Wonderful Company proudly employs of over 50 former Wonderful Scholars, known as our “full circle” graduates.
