Executive Assistant I (c)

The Executive Assistant I reports to the Board Executive Officer providing high level support related to the Board Chair. This is a critical position that will require you to manage information of a sensitive, highly confidential, and detailed-oriented nature. Key responsibilities will include scheduling and maintaining demanding meeting calendars; compiling meeting materials; coordinating travel arrangements; prioritizing and handling all incoming information; initiating follow-ups on projects/tasks to ensure deadlines are met; preparing email correspondence to staff, Board of Directors, Member Agency Managers Elected Officials, and others; distributing information and informing the Executive Managers of all pending activities; recommending innovative solutions and responding to inquiries including providing explanations to policies and procedures. This position requires a dynamic, self-motivated, customer-service oriented, and organized person that can carry out multiple projects simultaneously while exercising independent judgment in a fast-paced environment. To view the full job description click here: EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Associate degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and six years of relevant experience; or three years in a MWD Administrative Assistant III classification Relevant Experience is defined as: providing support/assistance to a similar level executive, preferably in a public sector environment. This classification performs work that requires maintaining confidentiality and is routinely privy to matters that either involves confidential information, sensitive personnel issues, or exposure to confidential and sensitive strategic corporate information.
