Depending on role and business needs, colleagues will either work onsite, in a hybrid model (combination of in-office and virtual days) or fully virtually.The proprietary lending team at American Express is responsible for designing products that uniquely serve our customers’ purchasing, borrowing and lifestyle needs so they confidently choose Amex every day above others.Our ambition is to expand on a suite of Amex-branded card and loan products that showcase the benefits of Amex membership, while driving deeper and expanded customer engagement and loyalty.This position is responsible for administrative support for two Vice Presidents with the Prop Lending team.
It is a dynamic, high-paced environment and therefore the day-to-day responsibilities require seamless collaboration across a wide range of business partners both inside and outside of the organization.The ideal candidate must be seasoned and experienced in handling a wide range of administrative related tasks and be able to work independently and confidently under pressure.
Building strong relationships, being resourceful and knowing how to navigate large organizations fluidly will also be critical to success in this position.Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Organizing and maintaining complex calendars using a high level of tact, influencing and integrity, including scheduling across multiple time zonesCalendar management, including scheduling meetings with various colleagues internally and externallyCoordinating logistics for meetings, including scheduling of conference rooms and technology support as requiredPreparing, reviewing, and processing expense reports, and managing expense report approvals, in line with company T policy and budgetAssisting with timekeeping and payroll dutiesProviding coverage for other team-based Executive/Administrative Assistants that are on vacation or sick leaveManaging organization charts and team rostersBooking and coordinating travel arrangements including air and hotel bookingsSupporting the scheduling and coordination of events, including room booking, catering, etc.Supporting team administration including job postings, onboarding for new hires, updating distribution lists, setting up group-wide team meetings, coordinating team real estate Processing of requisitions and other invoices, ordering supplies and managing ticket requestsSupporting/coordinating special projects Positive attitude, solutions-oriented demeanor, and reliableExceptional organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skillsKeen attention to detail and a sense of urgency in execution and follow-upAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and work autonomously with minimal guidanceStrong integrity and ability to handle confidential / sensitive information with discretionStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office, including Word, PowerPoint and ExcelMinimum 3-5 years of experience supporting executives with complex calendars and travel American Express is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, disability status, age, or any other status protected by law.US Job Seekers/Employees
