We invite you to explore what has made us one of the fastest growing technology companies in history, and how you can be an integral part of our journey!The Event Technology Specialist is an active member of Splunk’s Global Event Marketing team, working on event technology strategy and supporting events such as our global user conference, .conf, SplunkLive!, Sales/Partner Kickoffs, industry programming and other high-value programs.

Although broad marketing and event management experience is welcome, this position requires clearly defined skills, specifically software and event platform system knowledge and proven success in working cross functionally leading teams toward a project goal.The Manager, Event Technology is responsible for recommending, managing and maintaining event technology solutions such as registration platforms, call for papers backend, speaker and exhibitor resource centers, 1:1 meeting tools, mobile applications and lead retrieval systems.

This team member will enable events such as Splunk’s global user conference, .conf, SplunkLive!, Sales Kickoff, executive meetings and other high-value programs.

This role will establish goals and business requirements to ensure high-levels of end user satisfaction, accurate data capture and provide reporting to drive growth and profitability.This person will achieve event program goals, identify areas for improvement, and implement methodologies and process plans related to the overall management and execution of technology strategy and operations.

This role falls under the Global Event Marketing team with a companion role being supported under the Marketing Operations (MOPS) team.Responsibilities* In collaboration with program partners/leads, create event checklist to source Reg/Web/Integration needs for each program seeking support.* Effectively manage data integrity in accordance with established event registration policies for all programming* Offer insights into how other non-registration tech can support various programs.* Report building, managing and distribution as requested by extended event teams.* Design registration and website plans to execute successful user journeys on each program.* Investigate new technology vendors for virtual programs, registration and other GEM needs* Collaborate with MOPS counterpart on new technology needs and effective integration planning.* Create timelines and event schedules to ensure goals are met and ensure consistency and accuracy can be mapped across programs.* Work cross functionally with agency partners, vendors and internal program owners* On-site event support and supervision of established vendors* Bring Splunk’s core values into your decisions and your daily workSkill Requirements* 2-5 years of demonstrated success in systems management in a rapid-growth environment, corporate or agency-side, tech sector preferred* Ability to work on multiple projects at once, set goals, work proactively and independently, problem solve, improvise and function as part of a team that must perform under pressure* Commitment to collaborate and develop positive business relationships with all team peers and business owners* Tact, integrity, and composure that allows you to work effectively at all levels within a large organization* Enthusiastic colleague with outstanding communication, project management and interpersonal skills* Experience with multiple tech event platforms desired.

Software knowledge should include: Rainfocus, Swoogo, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Jiffle Now and Slack.* Experience with Eloqua and SFDC is useful and knowledge of virtual event platforms and mobile apps is a plus; platforms such as Intrado, On24, OEP, EventBase.* Travel limited to assigned events.We value diversity at our company.
