Our client, a well-known nonprofit association in the DC metro area, is looking for a successful and enthusiastic Event Coordinator to assist in events from conception through to completion for a 3-6 month long contract.
Some of the responsibilities include providing outstanding customer service and organizing events that meet quality expectations.
Primary Responsibilities The Event Coordinator will be assisting in event planning, design and production while managing all project delivery elements within time limits Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction The Event Coordinator will conduct market research, gather information and negotiate contracts prior to closing any deals Provide feedback and periodic reports to stakeholders The Event Coordinator will propose ideas to improve provided services and event quality Organize facilities and manage all events details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material etc The Event Coordinator will cooperate with marketing and PR to promote and publicize event Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day Qualifications 1 year of experience in a related role, recent college grads are welcome to apply as well Excellent time management and communication skills Sales skills and ability to build productive business relationships Ability to manage multiple projects independently MS Office proficiency BS in Event Management / Marketing or related field by Jobble
