Estimator/Project Engineer – Industrial

A large specialty contractor in the Phoenix area is hiring due to growth.

They support scaffolding, insulation, painting and coating, and safety services on large commercial projects.

They are one of multiple companies under and a large corporate umbrella that provides services to the Power, Mineral Processing, Mining, Refining, Chemical, Incineration, Steel, Foundries, Food Processing and Non-Ferrous Metals industries.

Overview The Project Engineer / Estimator provides experience in estimating expenses of labor, resources, and time expenses and presenting this information to business unit leaders.

Has the ability to put together a professional level proposals and submittals.

Has the ability to understand basic cost controls and factors that affect cost impacts.

The Project Engineer / Estimator should be knowledgeable in industrial construction.

Qualifications: 0-2 years of experience Experience supporting large construction projects in diverse market sectors a huge plus Bachelors degree in a related field Experience reading, interpreting and presenting estimate data Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel Can read Isometrics drawings & PNIDs A few of the Responsibilities: Gathers information about labor costs, resources, and daily expenses.

Conduct weekly meetings with project teams to monitor compliance to the estimate.

Manage inconsistent workflow and demands to meet internal and external deadlines.

Analyzes proposals, blueprints, and other documentation for information on costs.

Identify required labor, time, and material requirements for potential projects.

Work with vendors on shipments of materials and pricing for materials.

Prepare reports on expenses.

Present cost projections to management.
