Northridge Hospital Medical Center The
ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE ASSOCIATE
maintains assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean and sanitary condition by performing specialized cleaning tasks, which involve operating heavy-duty equipment and using special cleaning equipment. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, trash collecting, collecting biohazardous waste, room setups, removing & delivering linen, performing regular housekeeping duties and performing special projects as assigned. All employees are expected to perform their duties in alignment with the vision and values of the organization. The ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE ASSOCIATE is responsible for a variety of tasks that lead to a high level of customer satisfaction in the most cost-effective manner with respect and dignity. #missioncritical This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.


Qualifications

Requirements

  • High school diploma and/or GED education.
  • Requires enough basic education to understand and follow standard practice or oral and written instructions.
  • Able to read and write, use simple arithmetic, keeps simple records, or use simple office machines.
  • Minimum 6 months janitorial experience, in Healthcare or Nursing Home, preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must maintain current Fire Safety card.
