Job SummaryAECOM is actively seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer for employment within our DCS – Environmental Remediation Practices group in theLong Beach, California office to support remediation system design and operations, soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects. The candidate will have prior experience in remediation system design and management/oversight of operations, maintenance, and monitoring. In addition, the candidate will have experience in data management and technical report production. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical for this role.This is a Technical Lead position; therefore, the ideal candidate must be able to work independently and productively in a collaborative team-environment, foster team building through inclusion and mentorship, display a high level of organization and communication, and demonstrate a strong desire to learn from Technical Leads and Project Managers. We’re one global team – 47,000 strong – driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world.Job Responsibilities:* Remedial technology design* Modeling and analysis of remediation performance and subsurface conditions* Interfacing and writing reports to clients and regulatory agencies* Planning and managing environmental field work, including remediation systems operations, maintenance, and monitoring, groundwater sampling, fluid level gauging and oversight of subcontractors* Project Management tasks including budgeting, schedule and scope development and tracking* Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, willingness to mentor junior staff, and commitment to workplace health and safety are imperative* Travel to project locations including driving and overnight staysMinimum Requirements* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or closely related field and 6+ years of relevant experience* Valid driver’s license* Due to the nature of this role, US citizenship is requiredPreferred Qualifications* 8 years of experience in environmental consulting and remediation system design* 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training* Master’s Degree is a plus* Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)* Excellent oral and written communication skills* Excellent attention to Health and SafetyAdditional Information* Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.* This position may be subject to a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record Screening.* Relocation assistance may be offered for this position* This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.What We OfferWe will give you the flexibility you need to do your best work with hybrid work options.
