Practice Area: Entertainment and New Media, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, Los Angeles office of our client seeks associate attorney with 1-3 years of experience in scripted, unscripted series and narrative feature motion pictures.
The candidate will manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and simultaneously work with various types of clients (producers, production companies, financiers, distributors) on projects of varying budget levels.
Will be expected to draft and negotiate development agreements (option/purchase agreements, writer agreements, shopping/attachment agreements), ATL and BTL production agreements and financing-related documentation.
Assisting clients in drafting, reviewing, and processing clearance issues, guild matters, location agreements, vendor agreements, third-party material licenses, music licenses, and other contracts related to motion picture productions.
Familiarity with the signatory processes for the DGA, WGA and SAG-AFTRA are preferred.
Experience must be post-law school as a practicing attorney (not including internships or work as a contract administrator).
Must be an active member of the California State Bar.Additional Skills: The candidate should have JD degree from an accredited law school.
