Work Schedule (Days/Hours) 9/80 Group WATER SYSTEM OPERATIONS GROUP Section WATER OPS & PLANNING SECTION This position is a journey level programmer with specialized skills in the design, development, fault analysis and support of real-time automatic process control (APC) applications written in C++ programming and IEC-1131 standard languages for Metropolitan’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. This position requires a high-level of competence and understanding of complex control processes, simplifying them down to a model based on functional control and user requirements, selecting or developing a control method and implementing a real-time APC application utilizing often-complex algorithms and instructions. In this capacity this individual will regularly confer with Water System Operations (WSO) and Engineering Services Group (ESG) personnel in determining and reviewing APC application requirements, and with WSO and Quality Assurance in obtaining their acceptance of new and updated APCs to automate Metropolitan’s water treatment plants and distribution system. Relevant Experience is defined as: work experience with industrial control systems or reviewing design specifications and performing investigations of complex systems with at least two years of work experience with C/C++ programming experience.
