Engineer II
– Energy Efficiency

RHA’s Engineer II will function as a technical resource in providing research and development support for the technical services team/programs in the design, implementation, management and evaluation of energy efficiency projects/programs.

Specific activities may include: Research of new technologies, Assist in the design, review and evaluation of new and existing technologies for non-residential and residential program applications, Perform engineering analysis of complex energy efficiency measures, Design, run, and report on pilot studies, Collaborate with technical services team in applying research to new and existing program design.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent Two years of experience in energy efficiency or energy related field
Eight years’ experience in the energy efficiency industry may be substituted for a qualifying degree
Preferred: Engineer in Training Certificate (EIT) Building Performance Institute (BPI) Building Analyst (BA), Multifamily BA, Energy Auditor or Quality Control Inspector (QCI) Home Energy Rating Systems (HERS II) certification Professional Certifications, including but not limited to CEM, PMP, NATE or LEED Knowledge of Energy auditing software such as REM/Design, Energy Pro or Equest Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work with a cross-functional and diverse team Strong computer applications skills (Office Suite, CAD, energy modeling) Knowledge of building and energy codes Knowledge of energy efficiency programs and industry standards
