The CEBs have a growing renewable pipeline and we are looking to add as an essential member to the team in Valhalla, New York.
The Engineer I will be responsible for ensuring the reliable, safe and efficient operation of utility scale solar facilities and other renewable technologies owned by CEB.
The Engineer will have experience in renewable technologies (i.e.
solar, wind and battery storage), equipment selection, identification of problems utilizing predictive methods, resolving operational problems, bid preparation and evaluation, contractor selection, general utility operations and maintenance practices, procedure writing, creation of reports utilizing project historians including Pi, as well as having a good understanding of utility distribution and transmission systems.
The Engineer is expected to be well versed in power engineering and have practical hands on experience with a proven track record in the energy industry.

The annual salary range for this position is $79,000-$119,000.

Support the efforts of Asset Managers and Developers to ensure CED selects the best technologies and builds reliable and efficient projects.
Review facility operating data to resolve problems that are affecting facility output and provide recommendations on how to improve the performance of the CEB assets.
Track causes and implement corrective actions.
Implement predictive maintenance technologies to ensure high facility availability.
Assist O&M and Plant Managers in resolving technical issues with facilities.
Write procedures and establish maintenance plans.
Understand the NERC required standards for the CEB facilities.
Assist in the development of NERC Compliance evidence and procedures.
Create and ensure consistency across NERC-registered facilities (equipment/software, alarming, controls, voltage monitoring, Pi, SCADA).
Develop analytical tools to assist in performance review of the CEB assets.
Prepare reports for asset management and executivemanagement; manage administrative tasks.
Establish working knowledge of various equipment suppliers technologies.
Stay informed of technical developments, industry codes and regulatory requirements, which have an engineering impact.
Assist with creating engineering standardizations and procedures to facilitate the Construction and Development teams.
Perform site visits as necessary to achieve company objectives.
Education: Undergraduate engineering degree from an accredited college or university required Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
– preferred Experience: 2 years engineering experience in renewable energy technologies and applications Prior work experience in a power generating environment is preferred Working knowledge of OSI Pi and other data historians Specific experience with high-voltage utility equipment (i.e.
transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers) Experience in the overall aspects of design engineering, construction, start-up/commissioning, and subsequent O&M of energy projects Experience with plant control systems (i.e.
DCS and SCADA), and (Emerson Ovation, Wonderware, SEL RTAC, etc.) preferrred Experience with Power System Protection and Coordination, Compliance and Relay Testing Data mining and performance analytics Working knowledge of electricity and hazards posed by electrical equipment and conductors is required Working knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies and ability to establish maintenance programs, PVSyst Practice achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance with NERC CIP StandardsFamilarity with Volt/Var Control, Power/Frequency Control, ISO market rules (CAISO, ERCOT, SPP), Renewable Generator Models, Geomagnetic Disturbance Analysis Experience with coding in Microsoft VBA and MATLAB Job Skills: Detail-oriented engineer Strong leadership skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and strong organization skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to analyze and interpret electrical drawings (Plant and Balance of Plant) Must have a valid drivers license and willing to travel to CED facilities Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products You must be eligible to work in the US independent of company sponsorship.
