– Nordstrom Analytical PlatformJob DescriptionNearly a year ago, we began our journey to transform our approach to data and analytics from a batch-centric platform with siloed data marts, to our Nordstrom Analytical Platform (NAP), a real-time, event-streaming-centric, analytical platform that provides high quality, pre-stitched 360 views of our customers, products, inventory, customer service, fulfilment/logistics, and credit.
The Marketing Data Engineering team delivers customer and marketing data to Data Scientists and Analysts that can be leveraged for machine learning, customer segmentation, business insights, and audience selection.
Over the next year we will be focused on data integration across all Nordstrom brands to create a holistic view of the customer, enabling us to personalize their experience and engagement with Nordstrom to reflect their unique preferences and style.
Delivering real-time data will be central to ensuring that they receive only the most relevant information and have a seamless online and offline experience.A day in the life…Design and develop streaming data pipelines using Kafka, Kafka Streams, Kafka Avro Schema Registry, and KubernetesCollaborate with technical program management, analytics, and marketing business partners to build scalable and durable solutions that drive business outcomesBuild data products that reduce friction and time to delivery for Data Scientists and AnalystsDesign, communicate, and execute end-end solutionsContinuously improve upon existing processes and solutionsOngoing production support of marketing data productsExperience includes3+ years of professional experience3+ years of experience in Java Development3+ years of scripting, python preferred3+ years of experience writing SQL3+ years of experience with distributed systems, micro services and automated engineering solutions.Experience with at least one cloud environments, AWS preferred.Bachelor of Computer Science or work equivalentWe’ve got you covered…Our employees are our most important asset and that’s reflected in our benefits.
