EMT On Call $500 Sign on bonus

Thank you for considering a career with Pioneer Human Services We are currently looking for an EMT on-call to join our team at the Snohomish County Diversion Center.

WHO WE ARE Pioneer Human Services is a social enterprise that provides individuals with criminal histories the opportunity to lead healthy, productive lives.

The Snohomish County Diversion Center is a 44-bed facility (32 men and 12 women) offering short-term placement and shelter to homeless adults with a substance use disorder and other behavioral health issues, diverting them away from incarceration and toward treatment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO The EMT is responsible for providing quality health care services to all patients including emergency medical treatments, initial and detailed assessments, medication delivery, medical documentation and life sustaining interventions.

Take medical vitals and work with EMT-Lead on appropriate course of action.

Obtain medical history and determine proper treatment.

Provide emergency medical attention for both sick/not sick situations.

Provide accurate medical documentation.

Follow facility protocols and documentation for the admittance and discharge of clients.

This may entail working with other providers and entities.

Work with other medical and emergency providers to send and receive clients/patients.

Maintain a safe environment by following facility policy and procedure.

Routine cleaning of facility and equipment.

This will include patient toilets, floor drains counters and medical equipment.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING Must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Must hold a National EMT License or Washington EMT license in good standing.

Must pass a criminal background search allowing the work with a vulnerable population.

Must be able to complete all required medical, company and facility contract requirements.

Ability perform essential duties of the position, in a fast paced and demanding work environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.

PREFERABLY YOU WILL BRING Behavioral Health or rehabilitation experience desired.

Software and Equipment Used: Computer usage to include medical record retention as well as Microsoft Office Suite.

BA, AA, BS degree.

Sensitive, receptive, and mature enough to be neither upset by the clients, nor cause the clients further adjustment difficulties.

The ability to effectively and efficiently problem solve and manage crisis.

Be able to make positive use of professional supervision, function effectively in an inter-disciplinary team approach, and participate in, and profit from in-service and on-the-job training.

Have a sense of humor, demonstrate personal flexibility, and a professional demeanor, and be able to work toward broad goals, while at the same time, work with a vast number and variety of details.

Maintain an attitude toward interactions with residents that is objective, free from personal bias; one that allows for perspective and flexibility in observing groups and individual behavior patterns.
