This position requires that candidates provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination after receiving a conditional job offer at least 7 days prior to their start date.

Primary Responsibility / Summary
Provides individualized and/or group employment preparation, and job placement services intended to assist assigned participants with rapid attachment to the workforce.

Services may include work skills assessments, staff-assisted employment search, job prep workshops and job clubs.

Per government requirements, this role required to be fully COVID
– 19 vaccinated.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1.

Develops a trusting and open relationship with participants and assist with decision-making and goal setting.
2.

Provides classroom instruction to groups and individuals on job seeking skills and techniques, motivation, resume preparation, application completion, job retention and Internet use for job search.
3.

Provides participants with work skills assessments that will enhance their ability to find appropriate employment.
4.

Utilizes labor market information to assist the participant in making appropriate career and occupational decisions.
5.

Works with local employers and participants in developing and identifying appropriate jobs and helping participants gain meaningful employment.

Assists in reasonable accommodation process with prospective employers.
6.

Maintains detailed electronic and hard copy case records according to funder and/or Company requirements.

Completes all documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
7.

Achieves enrollment and placement goals, and conducts timely follow-up with all participants on caseload.
8.

Meets with CQI team to assist with implementation strategies for continuous quality improvement.
9.

This position may require some local travel (25% to 50%), a valid CA driver’s license and state-required auto insurance required.

Driving record must be acceptable by the organization’s insurance vendor.

Qualifications

Education & Experience
3 to 5 years human services and/or case management experience.
Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university required.
Master’s degree or equivalent preferred.
A combination of training, education, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Recent teaching or training experience required.

Ability to speak another language and understand another culture as required by the needs of the program or local community.
Knowledge of assigned program regulatory requirements (e.g., WIA, DOR, DOL, etc.)

Punctual and dependable attendance.
Free from alcohol and drug abuse.
