Manufacturing Electrical Process Engineer

The Electrical Process Engineer is a very diverse role that will utilize both a Electrical Engineering and Project Management Background.

Develops, designs and plans equipment and machine layouts, workflow, and safety precautions to maximize utilization of plant and manufacturing facilities.

Develops labor cost analyses, evaluates worker productivity and recommends improvements.

Develops or improves workplace designs.This individual will spend roughly 60% of their time utilizing their plc programming background and skills, while the other 40% will be spent working on projects.

Shift and Schedule :  This position will be working 1st Shift . Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled. 

Compensation: This is a full-time, exempt, and salaried position paid bi-weekly.

Salary is flexible and determined by candidates experience level.

Position Responsibilities

  • Understand entire line operation and offers assistance where necessary.
  • Maintain continuous improvement and preventative maintenance systems.
  • Support changeovers of line equipment for different products and/or sizes.
  • Insure accurate parts assignments and equipment histories are maintained.
  • Assist other operators on project management duties, adjustments and repair procedures.
  • Work with team to standardize process improvement in programming (KDP mainly utilizes Allen Bradley in tandem with Siemens, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and repair of Pneumatic Control Systems, Allen Bradley PLC Systems, RSLinx, Process Control Instrumentation, 3 phase (480V) Circuits, Motor starters and controls
  • Work closely with Maintenance Mechanics and Electro Mechanical Techs
  • Support and/or lead problem solving to identify root causes of gaps in project deliverables to prevent recurrence
  • Complete all necessary reports and maintains M&R logs.
  • Facilitate execution of CAPEX projects
  • Assist the Supervisor in the operations of the line.
  • Assign work to mechanics/electricians
  • Assist in training operators/mechanics on repairs, adjustments and standard operating procedures.
  • Comply with all safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree preferred in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial
  • 3 years of Electro/Mechanical experience
  • Proven knowledge of PLC programming
  • 1 year of experience in a leadership/supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.

    OR substantial experience leading cross functional project teams

  • 1 year experience in project management, troubleshooting and repair of Pneumatic Control Systems, Allen Bradley PLC Systems, RSLogix, Process Control Instrumentation, 3 phase (480V) Circuits, Motor starters and controls and electronic circuit boards
