This is your chance at being a part of history and future success.Responsibilities: Advance initiatives which promote and sustain the safety, health, security, and welfare of all personnel.Develop, deploy, and monitor all EHS programs, procedures, policies, and standards in a manner that ensures compliance to Federal, State, Local, Customer.Provide focus, direction, leadership, and technical expertise to the various work groups; including safety committees and accident review teams.Develop and administer a root cause analysis procedure/process design to reveal and capture intellectual wisdom from all near miss and/or failure occurrences.Communicate post incident / near miss findingsDevelop, implement, and institutionalize a process to identify and eliminate high risk occurrences through review of historical incident data; leading/warning indicators; plant, process, and equipment audits; job and activity observations; and highly specified JSA’s and JHA’s.Stimulate and cultivate “a zero incident mentality” throughout the facility.Provide applicable management/agency notification, oversight, interface, and coaching and will be the point of contact (POC) for all inquiries, communication and interface with Federal, State, and Local agencies/authorities.Proactively manage modified duty assignments and RTW of injured associates.Oversee and manage facility loss control activities.Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all environmental reports (Air Emission Summary, TRI, SWPPP, deviation reports, and waste disposal both hazardous and non-hazardous, etc).Develop, report, and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all related leading and lagging performance and success measures.Assess and evaluate plant EHS connections and make recommendations to the Operations Manager regarding strategies to remedy training, skills, or performance deficiencies.Assist with maintaining required paperwork such as OSHA 300 logs in compliance with federal law; post annual 300a report.Coordinates and conducts safety/health walk-through inspections and audits of all workplace facilities.

Ensures compliance in resolution of non-compliant issues and concerns; supports site IIPPCommunicates divisional updates and challenges on weekly Safety call.Provide fire protection and coordinate fire prevention and protection with local fire department; conduct frequent fire drills and inspections of the facility; ensure the maintenance and submission of logs and reports as required.Provide for the safety and security of Freshly associates through the direction and monitoring of security staff, and by conducting appropriate drills in preparation for emergencies.This job description is an overview of key responsibilities, not a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities for this position.

Duties, responsibilities and activities will vary based on business needs, current projects and initiatives.About You: Associate degree or Bachelor’s in any technical field is preferred.Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.Knowledge of risk management principles, Cal/OSHA Compliance techniques, workers compensation as well as regulatory knowledge in Cal/OSHA, EPA, ANSI, NFPA and other applicable standards is preferred.OSHA 511 or 501 preferredAccessibility 24 hours day
– 7 days a week for safety managementAdditional skills and flexibility required: Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets technical journals and documents.Able to work in cold/hot environmentsAbility to prioritize daily workload, with limited supervision.Must be proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Excellent organizational skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Excellent oral and written communications skills.Flexibility to work off-shifts and weekends as required.
