Ideally, you will be based in our Norwalk facility and work a mix of in-office and remote hours. We may also consider outstanding fully remote candidates located in California.

As EDI Specialist, you will join our Information Technology team and play a dual, development and support role that includes working directly with customers. On the development side, you will assistwith analyzing, designing, and developingspecifications for enhancements and extensions for EDI application interfaces and maps. In the area of support, you will troubleshoot errors and resolve system issues, provide training and documentation,and more. Additionally, you will:

  • Perform EDI testing and trading partner implementation.
  • Perform some system administrative functions.
  • Help develop, configure, and implement new/updated EDI transactions.
  • Help configure and implement new/updated means of communications (AS2, FTP, email, etc.).
  • Assist with improvement projects.
  • Implement system changes.

To meet the basic qualification for this role, you will have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. In addition, to be a strong fit for the EDI Specialist opportunity, you will have:

  • 2+ years of experience in EDI mapping using IBMs B2Bi software required.
  • A bachelor’s degree or comparable experience ispreferred.
  • Must be able to be an end-to-end solution provider for communication with customers (ability to query databases, translate the data into the customers’ formats, transmit the data to the customer or the entire reverse operation for incoming data).
  • Strong customer-facing skills and experience including the ability to professionally represent the Company in person, over the phone, and via email or other written correspondence.
  • Knowledge of:
    • EDI translation software and the ability to manipulate the data collected or sent.
    • FTP servers and FTP operations.
    • AS2 software/servers and their operations.
    • Relational databases such as SQL, SQL*Plus, and ODBC with Oracle and/or Microsoft databases.
  • Logistics experience is highly preferred; experience with EDI transaction sets common to Logistics, Warehousing, and Transportation is a strong advantage.
