Position Overview: BRG experts provide sophisticated economic, financial, and analytical consulting services across a wide range of disciplines, including antitrust and competition policy, complex damages, finance, healthcare, intellectual property, restructuring, valuation, and workforce issues such as wage & hour and disparate impact. In addition, the firm assists clients in major industry sectors with compliance, business process improvement, and strategy consulting. ThinkBRG. BRG’s economic practice is rapidly growing. We are currently looking to add a senior staff level consultant with an interest in addressing real-world applied economics questions, including in the disciplines listed above. This position requires a highly motivated problem solver with robust analytical ability, strong organizational and communication skills, and a desire to advance within the organization. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in litigation or economic consulting. The work will involve both execution and oversight of engagement work streams that may be either quantitative or qualitative in nature, with responsibilities to include design of economic, statistical, and financial analysis, modeling of financial data and markets, management of existing client relationships, development and presentation of client deliverables, management of junior staff, quality control, industry research, and expansion of business. Job Responsibilities: Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into defensible positions using software packages such as SAS and Stata. Ability to rapidly absorb the current relevant academic literature and bring to bear on a given project. Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while directing and overseeing work streams including data analysis and preparation of reports. Creation of reports, executive summaries, white papers, and PowerPoint Presentations. Process, synthesize, summarize, and analyze large datasets across multiple sources and formats. Communicate the results of analyses for experts and clients via tables, figures, and charts. Perform detailed research and analysis, then put the results into action (e.g., gather, review, and data from the public domain, specialized industry resources, or client, public and commercial databases). Demonstrate creativity and efficient use of relevant software tools, analytical methods, and computer models to develop solutions. Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Audit own work product and work product of others to assure quality. Participate in a team environment and work hard to meet client deadlines and quality expectations. Self-motivated and works well independently. Basic Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in the area of economics, statistics, analytics, or a relevant field; graduate degree preferred from a reputable university; Minimum of six (6) years of experience Prior experience in the consulting industry; and Prior experience with labor economics issues (e.g., wage & hour, disparate impact, independent contractor status, executive compensation, etc) a plus.
