Doorman

This is not your average security job. You keep the guests and staff safe but you also genuinely care about these folks. You are the first and last person the guest encounters and we need you to set the tone for our guests’ experience and make sure they leave smiling. You’re assertive enough to remove a patron who has had a bit too much to drink but friendly/warm enough to create a regular friendship with our guests.

Ideal candidates can multitask skillfully and independently, must be well organized, work with a sense of urgency. We are looking for somebody who takes initiative, possesses a positive and respectful attitude, and enjoys taking part in a well-run operation with a team that takes pride in the work they do. Full job responsibilities and qualifications will be assessed and discussed upon consideration. Must be willing to work weekends. We are an equal opportunity employer.

Day to day you can expect to do the following:
-greet arriving guests and say farewell to leaving guests.
-recommend other neighborhood spots.
-answer general questions about bar drinks
-stay off your phone.
-engage people walking by.
-regularly check in on bar staff.
-make sure your bartender has all the help they can get before you close up and go home.

Required training:
-California PSO Training (can be done after you are hired)
