Summary

Under the supervision of the Manager of Community Engagement and Social Impact the Domestic Violence Regional Coordinator will have the responsibility for supporting and enhancing the connections between domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking, service providers, CES service providers, and clients to ensure that eligible participants are able to utilize CES housing resources to quickly return to stable and permanent housing.

Essential Functions

  • Provide strategic coordination and ongoing training on regulations and best practices to regional agencies.
  • Create and maintain an ongoing relationship with administrative and program staff at participating agencies.
  • Regular engagement with other SPA-based Domestic Violence (DV) Coordinators and LAHSA s DV Coordinator.
  • Coordinate and participate in case conferencing of clients experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking being referred to and from CES.
  • Provide Regional Coordination (education, training, planning) for SPA 6 CES
  • Act as liaison for all HOPICS subcontractors and community partners providing technical assistance and resource linkages to clients who need the support.
  • Participate in the creation of the assessment tool utilized for clients served
  • Participate in the LAHSA-led DV Collaborative providing feedback on policy tools and materials that inform direct service work with victims of DV and human trafficking.
  • Responsible for coordinating with Trauma Resource Center
  • Responsible for providing linkages, referrals, and in some cases safety assessments to clients as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and updated documentation
  • Organize and implement appropriate cultural, gender and linguistic appropriate homeless, housing and other services as needed
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports to Manager.
  • Ensure confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPPA, and CFR 42 confidentiality laws and HOPICS policy
  • Perform any other appropriate responsibilities as assigned by Manager
  • Adhere to SSG s Code of Ethics and HOPICS Core Values
  • Represent the Agency in a professional manner at meetings and community events

Minimum Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • BA/BS Degree or (3) year s job related experience working with the homeless population
  • Experience with domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking programs and the Los Angeles Coordinated Entry System and homeless services, including but not limited to knowledge of best practices and relevant statutes and regulations.
  • Knowledge of case management and case conferencing.
  • Strong facilitation and mediation skills.
  • If in recovery, a minimum of three (3) years of being drug and alcohol free is MANDATORY.
  • Ability to work with clients from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Basic computer word processing skills necessary.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally.
  • Verification of Employment Eligibility and Background Clearance.
  • TB test required (Not more than (3) month prior to or (7) days after Date of Hire, and renewed annually thereafter)
  • CPR and First Aid certification required within 30 days of employment with company.
  • Must have valid California Identification.
  • Fully COVID-19 vaccinated (2 weeks from last vaccination dose to be considered fully vaccinated)

Mandatory Covid19 Vaccination Requirement

  • COVID-19 Vaccination Required: All staff is required to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated and to submit vaccination records to the HR Department during new hire orientation.
  • Fully COVID-19 vaccinated (2 weeks from last vaccination dose to be considered fully vaccinated)
  • Negative COVID-19 Test: All new staff must provide a negative COVID-19 test. PCR test results can be submitted prior to the first day of employment to . Rapid antigen tests are also acceptable; however, they will be performed onsite to verify results.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Environmental Conditions (Working Conditions)

Work conducted in an office and remote hybrid setting.

Physical Requirements

The Staff Support Coordinator typically spends time sitting, standing, typing, thinking, writing, walking, carrying (max. 25 lbs.), listening, speaking. Driving required as needed.

Mental Requirements

This position will require the individual to be able to handle any/all the following: constantdistractions, interruptions, uncontrollable changes in priorities/work schedules be able to process information, think and conceptualize.
