“I Said Sit!” School for Dogs is seeking dog trainers to join our team.
Experienced and Assistant level trainers please apply.
Our training methods are rewards based, primarily utilizing positive reinforcement training.
We utilize science based training.
Responsibilities include:
Teaching clients in one on one sessions Running classes(Summer plan to resume based on COVID) Working with dogs in school or boarding daily for lessons Experience with or willing to learn to work with reactive/fearful/anxious/aggressive dogs Share and create educational materials Keep detailed training records and follow up with clients Supervising small playgroups Recommending nonaversive retail products Helping track and manage facility needs Fill in with kennel duties as needed
Qualifications include:
Understanding of and experience with reward based training of basic obedience Experience teaching class and one on one session Hand on experience training a variety of dogs Ability to get to work on time with reliable transportation Excellent people skills Hands on experience with training dogs and coaching people Strong written and verbal skills Right now we work Monday
– Friday but know that in the future we will move to one weekend shift for trainers
