Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator

Law firm is seeking a Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator to join their Diversity & Inclusion team in the Los Angeles office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides administrative support for new and ongoing diversity and inclusion programs
  • Assists with the implementation of policies and programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce for the firm
  • Maintains relationships with external groups and companies to exchange information and to plan events
  • Works with internal Marketing team to design invitations for affinity group and D&I events
  • Attends affinity group events and internal events; coordinates registration, catering, name tags, contact sheets, materials and other logistics.
  • Creates electronic surveys and reports; responds to survey requests, as needed.
  • Creates slides for reports and presentations for various committees
  • Assists with generating reports and analyzing metrics for various programs
  • Schedules Diversity Committee meetings, affinity group lead meetings, individual affinity group meetings as needed
  • Coordinates specialized trainings with Chief Diversity Officer, including for management, department chairs and other firm leaders
  • Tracks expenses for Diversity Committee and affinity group budgets, meet with affinity group leadership and diversity committee to set budget priorities
  • Updates and maintain diversity & inclusion page on firm webpage, including calendar of internal and external diversity events and initiatives
  • Understands the intersection between D&I and other departments and collaborates accordingly with Talent Management, Marketing, H.R., Recruiting, Pro Bono and other team members across all offices, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-2 years experience working in D&I within corporate or professional services
  • Strong client services skills
  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Able to work harmoniously and effectively with others
