Distribution Operations Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:The operations analyst has the primary responsibility for managing and building workflow for the DC including release of work to warehouse floor, balancing workflow, and ensuring optimal outbound workflow levels within the facility.

The analyst will also conduct studies to discover ways to reduce costs, improve processes and optimize output.

You will collaborate with cross-functional departments across 5.11 and its subsidiaries, and will help analyze and interpret operational information to provide valuable insights into 5.11’s performance.

This opportunity is ideal for candidates who are self-starters motivated by exploring uncharted territories to help solve problems.RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop, analyze, and prepare ad-hoc operational information including operational models and presentationsLeverage data analysis to drive process and efficiency improvements,Participate and lead continuous improvement initiatives on workflow and planning process.Define wave planning processes and tools to build customer orders into work release for Distribution Operations that ensure customer service level targets are met and maintainedEnsure balanced workflow and optimal output across work shifts.Assign and monitor the work including staging, wave times and pick assignments across multiple workflows.Analyze and prepare replenishment waves to support and ensure full inventory availability for all shifts to optimize pick efficiency.Coordinate across operations managers and supervisors to level workload.Control priority of orders to meet operation service level requirements.Ensure clear communication between picking and replenishment teams for stock replenishment needs and troubleshoot as needed.Stay up to date on customer requirements, as well as global market and supply chain dynamics to understand impact on DC workload planning.Plan and coordinate with DC Outbound Managers product distribution activities to meet or exceed customer demands.Investigate and resolve workflow and delivery issues in a timely fashion to ensure on time shipping to customers.Review and recommend improvements to current product distribution parameters.Follow all safety guidelines and perform duties in a safe and careful mannerCultivate strong cross-functional relationships and always be ready to improve on established solutionsQUALIFICATIONS:To perform the job successfully, an individual should have the following qualifications and experience:1-3 years experience in a Distribution Center or Manufacturing environment.

Familiarity with roles and processes from inbound, put-away, replenishment, picking to outbound management.Strong analytical skills.

Able to manage large amounts of data to analyze and identify opportunities to optimize the balance between workflow efficiency as well as customer service levels.Previous wave planning and or production planning experience a plus.Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with various warehouse teams on priorities, process, troubleshooting & problem-solvingStrong understanding and knowledge of WMS & ERP systems, as well as warehouse work planning a plus.

.Experience with analytical tools and reporting systems (eg.
