Distribution Center – Full Time Fulfillment Specialist

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

You are responsible for pulling, packaging, and shipping orders, in addition, you will be processing returns received from online orders in the fulfillment center based on established guidelines department standards, and productivity goals. Other duties include resolve situations related to customer new orders, return orders, and inventory discrepancies

  • Responsible for packaging and shipping customer orders
  • Responsible for processing returns from online purchases
  • Able to follow security guidelines to minimize inventory shrinkage
  • Able to keeps good inventory control as the products enter and leave the Fulfillment Center
  • Comply with all safety regulations in the Fulfillment Center
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Punctual attendance.
  • Pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to rotate shifts as department needs
  • Ability to respond with a sense of urgency in a rapid-paced environment
  • Ability to learn and master the required software program for outbound shipments as well as returns
  • Must be able to use a computer, keyboard, and gun as needed
  • Work overtime and or an extra weekend day as needed
  • Accommodate an earlier start time
  • Use material handling equipment as needed
  • Help in other areas within the Ayers Distribution Center as required
  • Do physical inventory as needed and or cycle counts

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Communication skills – verbal and written English
  • Attention to detail and accuracy

  • Able to communicate on the phone as needed with vendor and corporate staff
  • Quick learner of software and scanning equipment

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education

  • High school diploma, or equivalent

Experience

  • At least (6) months warehouse experience

Language Skills

  • English and Spanish

Computer Skills

  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows, Excel and Word
  • Ability to type

Certificates and Licenses

  • Material Handling Certification is a plus, local certification will be required

Other Requirements

  • None

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
