Ready to explore our opportunities?Key Roles and Responsibilities:Define and refine DIRECTV video promotional strategy to drive subscriber growth and achieve volume targets, balancing volumes, and financial returnDevelop and support strategic principles to guide promotional plan for new acquisition, migrations, and upgradesDefine and refine offer strategy and develop the revenue roadmap for DIRECTVDevelop offer plans on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, adjusting as needed based on volume vs.

OI gapsAnalysis of channel performance and other data to understand, inform and optimize sales and promotional strategyUtilize analytics and financial modeling to drive fact-based decision makingModel offer and incentive strategy in partnership with Finance and Pricing to value the subscriber opportunity and financial return on a tactic levelCoordinate with Consumer Research, Competitive Intelligence, Customer Service, and Investor Relations to track customer acquisition needs, industry trends and competitive dynamics, and to identify threats and opportunitiesWork with cross-functional stakeholders (including Sales, Marketing, Analytics, Finance, Legal, Operations, and IT) to ensure buy-in, strategic and operational alignment, and proper execution of promotional planWork with finance to manage $70M annual promotional budget; help explain overruns and underrunsManage relationships with Channel Partners to achieve shared subscriber goalsBuild strong relationships with internal partners to develop and execute offers and marketing strategies to support revenue and sub growth goalsAct as an internal consultant for channel owners on the in their ongoing efforts to evaluate sales channels and potential partners, regularly generating key learnings from activities to betterQualifications5-7 years overall in Strategy or Business development, Marketing, Strategic Consulting, or Subscription Based Digital AcquisitionBachelors degree in Marketing, Business or related field of study; MBA or other advanced degree from a leading (top-10) program preferredAbility to champion ideas and execute in an expedited timeframeAbility to analyze and apply data to business strategy and goals; financial acumen is a mustProven success leading large cross-functional teams and managing various enterprise prioritiesSelf-directed, results-oriented individual who can independently handle multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environmentResourcefulness and problem-solving skills; ability to pivot quickly and think on your feetExcel skills business models, pivot tables, data analysisOur Lead, Business Development team members earn between $105,000 – $210,100.
