Direct Care Professional

Now offering Sign-on Bonuses: Up to $4,000 for Full-time Direct Care Employees Up to $2,000 for Part-time Direct Care Employees Direct Care Professionals (DCP) are responsible for assisting ACR residents with daily living including personal and health care needs, meals, transportation, and recreational and leisure activities.

This is an entry-level role and provides paid medical training that will allow you to care for the physical, medical and emotional needs of our residents in a residential group home setting.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1.

Preparing and administering medications to the residents 2.

Using specialized medical equipment 3.

Assisting the residents with range of motion, physical therapy, and stretching 4.

Helping residents with meals 5.

Respectfully assisting with personal cares 6.

Aiding residents to meet their personal goals 7.

Charting 8.

Taking Vitals Or you can be a Float: Floats have the opportunity to do the same work as our traditional Direct Care Professionals.

The only difference is that Floats could work their shifts in any of our homes throughout the Twin Cities, rather than always working the same home.

They also receive their schedule differently, happening on a weekly basis, and receive a higher hourly starting wage.

Wages: ACR Homes offers paid training to their employees.

Once training is complete, Full-time Direct Care Professionals receive starting wages between $15
– $18/hr depending on the position and when you are working.

There are opportunities to advance within the company and raises are offered starting at 1 year of employment.

Rates are as follows: DCP Part-time (Day/Eve): $12/hour DCP Part-time (Awakes): $15/hour DCP Full-time (Day/Eve): $15/hour DCP Full-time (Awakes): $17/hour Floats Part-time or Full-time (Day/Eve): $15.50/hour Floats Part-time or Full-time (Awakes): $17.50/hour E-Floats Full-time only (Day/Eve): $20/hour E-Floats Full-time only (Awakes): $22/hour Internships: ACR offers employees a flexible, individualized opportunity to complete an internship to align with their educational and career goals.

Internships give your resume a boost and give another key talking point and experience for graduate school or medical school interviews.

In addition, several ACR employees have been able to use their internships at ACR to obtain credit for internship experience at local colleges and universities while also getting paid to work We also have a Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) for part-time and full-time employees who are enrolled in college and working toward a degree.

REQUIREMENTS: 1.

Have a valid U.S.

driver’s license 2.

Have reliable access to a vehicle 3.

Have the ability to maintain at least 2-3 shifts/week in a part-time role 4.

Full-time employees must work at least 38-40 hours/week 5.

Have the ability to read, write and speak the English language.

6.

No previous experience is required.
