Job Summary:
At Ruggable, Digital Printing Engineers help to deliver amazing products to our customers by providing world-class digital textile printer expertise to the Product team and carrying out the following responsibilities:
What You’ll Do :
- Build printing processes for new fabrics and inks by adjusting printer settings and crafting custom color profiles
- Document new printing processes and learnings to ensure consistent and replicable print quality
- Prepare fabric, plan and execute printing projects with limited oversight and instruction
- Perform daily tasks to help to operate and maintain R&D printers (color standardization, QA, etc.)
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot problems that arise with printer, as well as color consistency and raw materials
- Develop and follow new/changing printing protocols in a fast-paced environment
- Train and coach other print operators or employees on advanced features
What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:
- Proven knowledge of and experience with direct application digital textile printing
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to legally work in the United States
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, unstructured environment
- Passionate about driving innovation in the textile printing space
Preferred:
- 2+ years of experience with digital textile printing
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fibers/Textile Design, Engineering, Chemistry or Related Field
- Ability to optimize printer settings for different inks and fabric types
- Experience with advanced color management and profiling methods
- Experience with Caldera RIP software
- Experience with other types of textile machinery (e.g., cutting machines, tufting machines)
