Digital E-Commerce Data Analyst

nnCapture e-commerce KPIs (traffic, pages, conversion etc.) and analyze trends over time.

Perform deep dive analysis into specific KPIs to understand the underlying key drivers. Look at ecommerce performance from multiple lenses including Marketing, Merchandising, and Operations, and formulate a hypothesis for current state.Responsible for tracking, reporting and analysis of homepage, landing page and creative tests as well as the shopping funnel to optimize online marketing and site merchandising effortsCollaborate on data and reporting requirements to guide development of data environment that enables analytics and reporting of digital customer journey, engagement and value Ability to identify and define business problems and issues, and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analysis.Perform analysis and submit recommendations to improve experience, traffic and conversionDetermine with the e-commerce team, the KPIs for each area and create standardized dashboard reports for the team.

Ensure consistency and reliability in data, metrics, analytics and interpretation of insightsImprove website functionality and conversions while understanding and maintaining brand positioningEngage with the e-commerce team to optimize website, channel performance and customer segmentationHas the ability to synthesize insights from different reports, by performing deep dives in customer behaviorsManage report and performance by device, making recommendations for site optimization based on KPIsAssist with budgeting for marketing programs on an ongoing basisResearch and provide competitive insight to the team in organized reportsTrack trends within the business and the e-commerce marketProvide insight into business and industry trends and identify opportunity/risk areasDevelop an understanding and/or have knowledge of SEO best practices and its impact on traffic and other metricsWork collaboratively with e-commerce and technical teams to problem solve and develop requirementsSkills and RequirementsBachelors degree required in Business, Economics/Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science or related field.

Masters a plus.4+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, reporting, modeling or similar work3+ years ecommerce experience (retail and/or apparel a plus)2+ years of relevant QA technical experienceAdvanced Excel experience required including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and ChartingAbility to write SQL and pull data for analysisExperience with Google Analytics, Shopify or similar Web Analytics and attribution toolsMust be a hands-on team member and operate with a start-up mentalityTechnical knowledge including html, tag management, basic front-end codeOrganized, detail oriented and the ability to transform concepts into actionable plansAbility to effectively communicate with both business and technical teamsStrong written and oral communication skills requiredSelf-starter/self-motivated, capable of staying on track and completing tasksAdapts easily to changing environments and demonstrates flexibility in juggling prioritiesProven understanding of application test cycles, best practices, tools, and techniquesAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentAbility to prioritize work to adhere to project timelinesPositive attitudeProfessionalism regarding time, costs and deadlinesThis position can be located in either LA or NYCnn
