Design Review Field Engineer

We are seeking individuals to join our team who want to make a positive impact on our transportation, work to solve complex problems, and have fun while learning and growing in a collaborative environment.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Provide independent review and assessment of applicable deliverables during constructions.Document reviews in published assessment reports.Review and perform field activities to evaluate and assess compliance with the approved design and all technical requirements or restrictions.Evaluate the following:Release For Construction (RFC) documentsRequirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM)Inspection and test plans and proceduresConstruction-Phase Submittals Review (e.g. shop drawings, product data, samples, installer qualification statements, manufacturer’s instructions, source and field quality control submittals)Test & acceptance plans & proceduresReview of Contractor’s inspection and testing reportsOther tasks include but shall not be limited to:Performing independent Validation and Verification (IV&V) during construction activities, including independent inspections and independent sampling and testingPreparing progress reports and assessment reportsVerification of as-built drawingsEvaluation of technical submittalsEnsuring inspection plans and procedures meet Technical Contract RequirementsRVTM checkVerification of construction items for conformance to RFC drawings and specificationsInterfacing with various team membersMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or similarA driver’s license5-10 years of experience in a similar role; P.E. preferredAdditional certificates or licenses may be requiredSound knowledge of Engineering, construction, and designAbility to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projectsTechnical Requirements:Ability to write technical reportsKnowledge and understanding of QC/QA, Materials Engineering, and construction activitiesOther miscellaneous qualities:Ability to travel to site locations to perform workAtlas EEOC StatementAtlas is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
