Design Internship
High profile, US-based lighting consulting firm seeks interns for our Los Angeles or Atlanta studio to assist principal and senior designers on a variety of market sectors including higher education, healthcare, hospitality, corporate, retail, and mixed-use projects in both the United States and abroad.

Must be pursuing a Bachelor s or Master s degree in architecture, interior design or Lighting Design. Proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD and MS Office Suite, and Adobe Photoshop is required, experience with Adobe InDesign, AGI32, Rhino and Dynamo preferred. Proficiency in Mandarin is a plus. Must have good verbal and written communication skills, and should be comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities of this position include :

Set-up and perform photometric calculations
Set-up and maintain AutoCAD/REVIT drawings and sheet lists
Manage electronic copies of project drawings, files, folders and xrefs
Generate and issue e-transmit project files and drawing sets in CAD and PDF formats
Assist in the development and documentation of specifications, cut sheets and fixture schedules
Support the development of cost estimates
Perform energy calculations to support code requirements and sustainability goals
Create detailed hand-drawn or computer-generated sketches, details and renderings
Assist in in-house mockups
Assist in occasional site surveys, on-site mockups and project commissioning exercises
