Their positions as leaders in their own industries mean they demand the highest standards from their suppliers.n n About the Position: n nResponsible for creating detailed forecast and demand replenishment parameters to be used as a master plan for manufacturing and distribution departments to follow.

The main targets of this role are to improve service levels; by optimizing Inventory levels, reducing lead times, and improving on-time performance in order to enhance the customer experience.n n Essential Duties and Responsibilities n nThe Demand Planning position is responsible for assisting with all forecasting activities associated with customers and products.

The Demand Planner creates and maintains forecast models, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, and operations.

Coordinates and collaborates with Demand Planning Manager to construct companywide demand plans and assist in facilitating the Sales and Operations planning process.n n Basic Functions: Assist in development of demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.

Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.

Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.

Interact with sales, marketing, and customer finance to understand demand forecast drivers.

Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing and Customer Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.

Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool.

Provide input to Supply and Service center Planning in developing inventory strategies on existing items, safety stock levels, min max, new products, and product phase-outs.

Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning.

Periodic reporting & interpretation of KPI
– Forecast accuracy & bias, Inventory turns and value, On-Time Performance, Safety stock and replenishment values, Track New product and E&O inventory value Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Finance, Data Analytics or other relevant fields.

Basic understanding of the sales and operations planning process.

Basic understanding of inventory replenishment strategies.

2-4 years of experience in planning and SAP CPIM/CSCP or equivalent is preferred Must have great: Analytical & Organizational Skills Communication Skills Problem Solving Influencing & Persuasion Data Interpretation Safety This position is largely sedentary; however, caution needs to be taken when lifting files, boxes, opening file cabinet drawers, desk drawers.

To avoid injuries to hands, back and neck, proper ergonomics should be maintained while working at desk/workstation.

Work Environment Primarily works in an office environment with controlled climate.

Ability to perform light hand activity work at a computer/telephone station in an office environment.

Position is primarily sedentary.

Some duties may involve being in a plant environment where noise levels can be moderate to high and be subject to the same general climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.).

Chemicals, dust, pollen and other typical airborne particulate matter are present within the atmosphere of the production floor and may create some odors in the plant.

The Company, in an effort to provide its employees with a safe and healthy working environment, limits exposure to chemicals through written procedures, engineering controls and PPE.

While the chemical exposure and odors are under acceptable levels set by OSHA and the WCB, they nevertheless, can be smelled and are handled according to the company’s hazardous communication program.
