Data Management Coordinator (DMC)

The Bedford-Stuyvesant Family Health Center (BSFHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that serves all of the primary health care needs of families in the heart of North and Central Brooklyn for over 40 years.

In addition to operating the Health Centers, we operate in School-Based Health Centers to increase the accessibility and availability of quality primary and preventive physical and mental health care to pre-school, elementary, middle and secondary school students in high-risk areas of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.We are seeking a Data Management Coordinator (DMC) to assist with the ongoing analysis of health information obtained from a variety of sources, including the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

The DMC will collect, validate and prepare information to support clinical care teams, quality improvement, operational and financial teams, as well as the reporting and funding needs of the organization.

The DMC will be supervised and works closely with the Data Analyst to ensure all required reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner and will deputize for the Data Analyst in his absence.Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:Works closely with the Data Analyst to collect, validate and prepare information to support clinical care teams, quality improvement, and the operational and financial reporting needs of the organization, as well as ad hoc reporting requests.Under the supervision of the Data Analyst, will prepare written training materials for clinical and operational staff and organize training schedules based on this.Enters data into spreadsheets and web-based reporting tools as needed, as well as liaising with external referral agencies (e.g.

DOH) with regard to the reporting requirements for specific grant programs.Generates reports utilizing eClinicalWorks, BridgelT, CPCI (DRVS), eBO and other health informatics tools to gather, analyze and interpret clinical, financial and operational data.Develops and maintains tables, graphs and reports and explores alternative methods for quality presentation of written data.Organizes data and reports for compliance, quality and operational improvements and program development.Track and reports on key performance and quality improvement measures.Update the inventory of reporting metrics and quality improvement measures associated with organizational priorities and grant requirements.Works closely with the Operational and Financial Department in generating required daily/monthly reports as well as bespoke reports.Works with the Data Analyst and CHIO to produce Policies and Procedures for the Data Management Department.Understands reporting requirements for UDS, HEDIS, Meaningful Use and PCMH.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Informatics, Analytics or related field2-4 years of statistical analysis or data analysis experience in healthcare industryPrior UDS, Meaningful Use, PCMH experience preferKnowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW), Azara, or Bridge IT a plusStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, interpret and visualize data from multiple sources with attention to detail and accuracyPC proficiency and Super User in Excel and databases Excellent writing , reporting and communications skillsOther Related Skills/Experience and requirements:LaunchAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out moderately complex, multi-step instructions and make appropriate independent decisions as necessary.Strong understanding of EMR/EHR software and/or physician practice management applications;Solid understanding of physician practice operations including charge capture and clinical documentation;Outstanding listening and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work and communicate with providers and practice staff;Hourly rate: $20-22Benefits Overview: We offer attractive compensation with comprehensive benefits including: Medical, 401k Retirement Plan with discretionary Match, Free Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability, Transportation Plan, Generous Paid Vacations and Holidays.BSFHC IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
