Data Entry Specialist

The Data Entry Specialist is the link between paper information and computer data. Data Entry Specialist take required information from different locations that are written down on our client’s freight bills and bill of lading documents and enters that information into NTC’s electronic data system called “Entry System” for storage, analysis and batching freight bills to be funded for payment.General Accountabilities:

  • Reads freight bills and bill of lading documents in order to enter data into NTC’s Entry System.
  • Applies data entry requirements per client’s operating procedures.
  • Communicates with auditor to resolve questions, inconsistencies or missing data.
  • Enters data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information into computer following format displayed on screen.
  • Enters data accurately and verifies and makes necessary corrections to entered information.
  • Enters Image Returns as assigned, following format displayed on screen.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing department’s assigned workloads by Department Lead.
  • Assist in assigning workload.
  • Create and run end-of-day procedures and update management.Job Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or GED
    • 1-2 years related job experience preferred
    • Ability to type at least 40 wpm
    • 10-key touch
    • Familiar with computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is helpful.
