Job description As an Import Entry Specialist at Malca-Amit, you are required to work in a fast paced customer focused environment and will be responsible for analyzing and validation of company import documentation. You must have experience in all facets of Customs brokerage. We are looking for a dynamic individual, who is self-motivated and possesses solid customer service skills. You will assist to oversee imports to the U.S. West Coast from various international origins throughout the Malca-Amit global network. This collaborative process entails extensive interactions with various domestic and international stakeholders. You must have a strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, policies, procedures and free trade agreements, and coordinate with in-house & external freight forwarders for the best overall outcome. We are looking for a well-versed Import Entry Specialist to join our Los Angeles customs brokerage operations. Your Principal responsibilities: Analyze and validate import documentation and data to ensure they are in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations prior to entry submission to U.S Customs and Partner Government Agencies (PGA) Ensures compliance and filing with other Govt agency releases – FWS and CITES knowledge a plus Prepare Customs entries from “A-Z” and follow-up with the clearance process on all entries prepared Maintain shipment records and ensure billing is completed and scanned within a timely fashion Secure knowledge of all industry rules and regulations and perform all custom functions Knowledge and processing of ATA Carnets, FWS with CITES Identify and resolve issues that may result in delayed cargo release or final delivery Other duties as required and assigned by direct manager Our Minimum qualifications: High School diploma or GED Minimum of 21 years of age Our Preferred qualifications: 2 years entry writer experience High knowledge level of U.S. Customs regulations and international protocols Your Professional skills: Excellent ethics and integrity High attention to detail Collaborative work style Strong communication skills Excellent customer service Ability to work independently Professional, positive demeanor Excellent time management skills Strong reporting and organizing skills Our Industry Logistics & Supply Chain Employment Type Full-time If you are interested in learning more, click apply now and a member of our team will be in touch.
