The Opportunity
Adobe is hiring a Customer Technical Advisor to join our team! We are looking for a Marketo application and implementation specialist in all Marketo features and technologies including integration methodologies as well as software and hardware limitations. You will act as a trusted partner to our customers and provide ongoing client technical consultation on REST APIs, data models, optimizations, and solutions. This will include educating clients on how existing and new product features and functionality work and effectively addressing product-related questions and technical challenges to help customers achieve their business goals. What you’ll Do
The Customer Technical Advisor’s (CTA) role is a post-sales and customer-facing position that provides ongoing client technical consultation on Marketo application tools, optimizations, architecture, and solutions. This role will include advising merchants, external developers, and internal teams to ensure successful adoption and integration of Marketo for our customers. Along with technical consultation, the CTA’s role includes educating and enabling clients on how existing and new product features and functionality work and addressing product-related questions and technical challenges. Additional responsibilities include:
Always representing Adobe (work product, communications, presence) professionally in both client and team situations.
Keeping abreast of technology evolution, new solutions, proactively research, and staying ahead of the curve, continuously drive self-development of new skills, and improvement of existing skills.
Lead technical requirements sessions to define technical and business solutions that are aligned with client needs
Advice customers on architectural design development and data models to integrate Marketo with other data sources and systems
Help develop standardized and reusable solutions for systems analysis and data integration
Help clients set up the integration between Marketo and their CRM system (Salesforce.com, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.)
Create custom solutions using AWS and Python
Help customers with using Marketo custom objects and writing email scripts to use the data to personalize emails
Communicate complex, technical solutions to both technical and business audiences
Demonstrate an understanding of Marketo products & services and how they apply to a client’s marketing situations
Advise clients on complex client issues leveraging proprietary and external data sources
Evaluating analytics from customer cloud environments to make recommendations for improvements and optimization.
Developing and maintaining effective and positive working relationships with team members. What you need to succeed
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience with 8+ years of working experience in the technology, IT Operations, or marketing automation sectors is a plus.
Experienced knowledge of Marketo integrations and implementation
Expert knowledge of API standards (REST and Graph QL)
Ability to demonstrate effective communication, presentation, and conflict resolution skills. All while always maintaining a positive attitude towards customer success.
Ability to explain and present concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike, including high-level decision-makers.
Solid grasp of marketing automation competitive solutions is strongly preferred.
Ability to be flexible and maintain attention to detail while multitasking and meeting multiple project target dates.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to excel in an environment with limited supervision.
Ability to comfortably investigate and solve complicated Marketo issues and challenges
Knowledge and hands-on experience with programming and scripting languages, web services, web development, relational databases, and REST APIs
Proven success in design, development and delivery of SaaS integration solutions
Minimum of 10 years consulting experience
Excellent client communication skills
Knowledge of enterprise systems, Marketing Automation, CRM, and ERP; experience with Salesforce.com is a plus
Able to write Python
Experience with hosting environments like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
Experience integrating with REST APIs
Marketo certified
Experience with one or more of the following Javascript, ASP.NET, C# and Java
Competency with building and architecting large-scale server applications in a distributed environment.

Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in Colorado.
Colorado Starting Salary: $116,700 – $151,500

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
