Position Description: Customer Service Engineer (Service Technician) To support customers with installation, service, operational training, networking, programming training, software training, application training, and laser automation training. The duties are not exclusive of performing the same functions for Punch Press and combination machines, including automated material loading/unloading machines.Key Responsibilities:• Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems as well as networks.• Able to precisely follow layout drawings and blueprints used in the installation of equipment.• Complete status (service) reports on a daily basis and expense reports on a weekly basis.• The ability to communicate in the English language.• Excellent customer relations and follow-through.• Managing the total equipment installation process at the customer site entailing the use of hand tools, climbing, bending, and stooping.• Operation, applications, software, and part programming capabilities, and customer training of such.Requirements: Mechanically inclined service technician. They have had good experiences with anyone that has worked as a wheeled/tracked mechanic or as a communications technician. Salary: $26/hr Travel: Routine travel within assigned territories with occasional overnight staysKeys to a Successful Interview: This Company is looking for someone who is mechanically and electronically inclined. Much of this position is going to be based on responding to the customer’s troubleshooting needs. They have had trouble in the past with unreliable candidates that do not stay for a long period of time. Candidates must understand the travel requirements and emphasize career longevity in the interview. The hiring manager needs to feel that candidates are mechanically inclined, with some experience, and that they fully understand what is expected of them.
