The successful candidate’s duties and responsibilities will encompass: Providing applications engineering and design engineering Locating solutions to customer problems or needs Working with customer regarding technical applications inquiries Providing customers with quotes and manufacturing capabilities Determining product design compatibility Meeting customer needs for specifying, quoting and manufacturing Providing design or specification change recommendations to increase value, reduce cost, increase efficiency or increase performance Creating cost estimates Managing project Supporting order processing and manufacturing Coordinating with customers, suppliers and outside salespeople Setting up preliminary manufacturing routings Providing solutions to manufacturing issues Functioning in an internal sales role Negotiating price and terms Traveling less than five percent Candidates will have a minimum background consisting of: A Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Paper Science or related degree (if lacking the degree, three or more years of paper manufacturing, web handling or related experience is required) Three years of application engineering experience One or more years of Solidworks experience Solid communication skills Ability to work independently Possess a solid work history Being a US citizen or green card holder Having a residence within a 45 minute drive
